Wine With Dessert or Wine as Dessert
All dessert wines have one thing in common: sweetness. Hence the name "dessert" wines. Their sweetness closes your palate and makes you feel satisfied after a good meal. For serving dessert wine at home, half bottles are recommended because a full bottle isn't practical unless a lot of people are sharing. Instead of serving dessert, some prefer to serve dessert wine. A glass of dessert wine can give you the satisfying sweetness of dessert with a lot less bulk and zero fat!
Favororable wine and dessert combinations:

Sauternes - fruit tarts, poached fruits, creme brulee, caramel and hazelnut desserts
Beerenauslese and Late Harvet Riesling - fruit tarts, almond cookies, creme brulee
